Until now, finding events happening in Abia State meant scrolling through social media and hoping someone posted at the right time. Oftentimes, we'd hear about an event we would have loved to attend long after it had ended.

On 13 June 2026, the Abia State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Alex C. Otti, OFR, reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting the creative industry and developing Abia into a hub for film production, entertainment, tourism, and cultural promotion.

For Abia State, this points to a growing creative and entertainment scene, and with it, more events. As such, you need one place where you can get firsthand information and pick the events that suit you. That place is Mmemme.

What Is Mmemme?

Mmemme is a platform for discovering events around you. We built it to solve a simple problem: good events happen all the time, but people miss them because the information is scattered.

Picture this. AdaNgozi works a 9-to-5 and doesn't have much of a social life. On her days off, she's either resting or getting ready for the week ahead. One evening, she's bored and wants somewhere to go, but she doesn't want to scroll through social media looking for who posted what.

She calls a friend, who tells her about Mmemme. She signs up, browses the events near her, and picks the one that fits her mood.

AdaNgozi is exactly who we had in mind when we built it. She's an attendee, and attendees are one of the two kinds of people Mmemme is for: those looking for events to attend, and organizers who want their events to be seen.

And it doesn’t stop at events. You can also find hotels, food, transport, and tourism experiences on the platform.

Key Features

Mmemme was built to make it easy for you to find events from the comfort of your home. Here's what you can do on the platform right now, with more coming:

  • Events and tickets: Explore events, check the details, and book your ticket right on the platform. You pay through Paystack and get a QR code ticket for entry. Your bookings stay in one place, and if plans change, you can cancel eligible tickets. Paid cancellations go through the refund process.

  • Places and services: Need a hotel, something to eat, or a ride to the event? You can browse hotels, food options, transport routes, and tourism experiences. What you can book or order depends on what's listed at the time.

  • Community: Create posts, join groups, and meet people who like the same things you do.

  • Messaging: Chat with other users on the platform, including conversations connected to events and organizers.

  • Memberships: Bronze is free. Silver and Diamond are paid plans, and some ticket types come with perks for members, like discounts, early access, or extra ticket categories.

  • Your account: Keep your profile, saved events, bookings, tickets, and payments in one place. You choose how you get notified (on the site, by email, or by push notification), and you can install Mmemme on your device as a web app.

  • Blog: Read about events, culture, destinations, and life in Abia.

  • Organizer profiles: Every organizer has a profile, so you can see who's behind an event.

For Event Organizers: Why List on Mmemme?

Planning an event is one part of the work. Getting people to show up is the other. An event nobody knows about can't attract the audience it deserves.

As an event organizer, listing on Mmemme lets you create, manage, and promote your events all in one place. Once you're approved, you can set up your events and ticket types, keep track of attendees and sales, message your attendees, update your profile, and add your payout details.

Mmemme already has 100+ registered users who can see your event once it's listed.
